Original 500-permit cap (established 2022-03-03) was REACHED in 2023 causing application suspension. March 2025: cap raised +500 to total 1,000 quota. October 2025: Deputy Ministry of Migration and International Protection confirmed expanded 1,000-permit annual quota maintained. 518 primary + 389 family permits granted by end-June 2025. Initial 1 year, renewable for up to 2 more (3 years total). Holder must work via telecommunications for foreign employer or clients only.
