Portugal's entrepreneur/self-employment visa. Distinct from D7 (passive income) and D8 (DN-employee). Means-of-subsistence threshold EUR 870/mo = annual EUR 10,440 (same IAS reference as D7). Recommended EUR 5,000 startup capital (NOT a fixed minimum — D2 has NO fixed investment threshold, unlike Spain's discontinued Golden Visa). Requires detailed business plan with 3-5 yr financial forecasts, market analysis, and demonstration of economic benefit (new jobs, economic impact). 4-month initial visa → 2-year temporary residence permit → renewable for 3 more years → PR at year 5.
