Income EUR 3,680/month (= 4× Portugal minimum wage EUR 920 for 2026). Two pathways: temporary stay (D8) up to 1 year, residence permit renewable to 5 years. Family adders: spouse +50% of base (EUR 460/mo); children/dependents +30% (EUR 276/mo). NEW 2025-10-22 immigration bill amendment: family reunification after 2 YEARS of legal residence (was 5+); reducible to 15 months with 18-month cohabitation evidence. NHR tax regime ended Jan 2024 for new applicants but partial successor regime exists. Decreto-Lei 41/2022. Health insurance required. Path to PR after 5 years.
