Open to nationals of ~50 'friendly nations' (US, Canada, EU member states, Australia, New Zealand, UK, etc.). 2021 reform required REAL economic ties (USD 200K threshold) replacing earlier easier USD 5K bank deposit. Three qualifying paths: (a) Real estate purchase USD 200K+ (financed-from-Panama acceptable), (b) Fixed-term bank deposit USD 200K+ in national bank for 3+ years, (c) Panamanian employment (with separate work permit).
